Handmade by paper artist Ray Bylart from a single, newly made sheet of 100% cotton paper.

The frame size is 8″ x 12″ (20cm x 30cm) and you can choose an Oak Style Frame, White Frame or Unframed which includes a backing board.

PaperRelief Description and Peronalization Guide

What Makes this PaperRelief Unique:

Each PaperRelief Sculpture is created from one newly formed sheet of 100% cotton paper. Your chosen inscription is added while the paper fibers are still wet, so your words become part of the artwork itself (ie not printed on afterwards). The cotton sheet, sculptured relief and inscription are then formed together as one single, handmade lasting keepsake. It celebrates the idea of two lives growing closer together, becoming one shared story.

The frame is supplied without glass so the raised paper texture remains visible, tactile and true to the handmade sculptural nature of the artwork.

To help ensure your final artwork, including any personalization, is created as expected, please follow the guidelines below. You can add any extra instructions or special requests in the Order Notes box at checkout or you can Contact Me first to ask questions.

  • The layout will appear as per the images shown for this design. Please contact me first if you prefer a different layout or specific personalization options.
  • The names, date and text you provide will appear in the order and format you provide them and will display in the font shown in the images.
  • For a short inscription, quote or saying, please keep the text under 30 words. Longer text may require a smaller font size
  • There are two frame style options available, or you can choose “Unframed”, which comes with a backing board only.
  • If you choose “Unframed”, you will need to source your own 8″ x 12″ / 20 cm x 30 cm shadow box frame.
